Restore my life!

Prayer: Father, You are the great redeemer, rescuer, and restorer of life. You alone are the Life Giver! Praise you! Amen.

Reading: Psalms 119: 153-176 key: vs. 175-176
175 Let my soul live and praise You,
and may Your rulings help me.
176 I have strayed like a lost sheep—seek Your servant.
For I did not forget Your mitzvot.

Attention: Well, do you realize we just studied the longest chapter in the Bible? In the traditional Bibles, Psalm 119 is the midpoint, center of the Bible. I didn’t point this out, but the entire 119th chapter is formed in the alphabetical order of the Hebrew alphabet. So, what the psalmist did was to write psalms in the Hebrew alphabet order. It kind of reminds me of the game we played as kids on long car trips, called “I Spy.”

Anyway, has anyone ever experienced the restoration of Adonai in their life? The psalmist does that repetition thing which I have alerted you too. Remember, it is a guarantee that when word concepts are repeated, it is repeated for the purpose of making an emphasis. Hello!

So, the praise of the psalmist is because he has experienced the restoration of the Lord!

“Restore my life through Your word! (vs. 154b)”
“Restore my life with Your judgments! (vs. 156b)”
“Restore my life Adonai! (vs. 159b)”

Have you had your life restored by Adonai? I have! Do you like the psalmist praise Adonai “Seven times a day!”? The concept is that the psalmist is so thankful, his praise is perpetual throughout the day! Give Him praise for the restoration you have experience in your life and in the lives of friends and family!

Action: I will let praise flow from my mouth and heart today for He has restored my life!

Yield: I will let praise flow from the abundance of joy and peace He has given me!

Engage: Praise flows from the overflow of joy and peace.

Relationship: I give Him praise for His redemptive, restorative work in my life.

Prayer: Father, I praise You! I praise You! Glory be to You for You have repurposed my life! Amen.

Memory Verse: Psalm 119: 164 & 165
164 Seven times a day I praise You,
because of Your righteous judgments.
165 Great peace have they who love Your Torah,
and nothing causes them to stumble.
