This month we are featuring the Political/Governmental Mountain of Influence. This mountain has such a profound effect on all our lives as policies, laws, and the legal processes entrusted to judges, senators, congresspeople, legislators, officials, and Presidents to represent us. We believe as Ekklesia that we are given authority by God, to be a governing, legislative body for His kingdom. Our engagement in the processes of Political and Government influence He has delegated to us. We are to be a voice for the disadvantaged, the poor, the widowed, the orphan (fatherless), the prisoner as well as a voice against evil and wickedness.

We have vital, serious issues to advocate for and against. Let us be wise in seeking a biblical position and being God’s representatives.

I had the privilege of attending a recent Apologia event at Westgate Chapel which featured Michele Bachmann as the main speaker. I was familiar with her name but her testimony. In alignment with our goals to encourage you as Ekklesia, First Place Ministries has launched a video blog and Interview series about Ekklesia and Influencers in the Seven Mountains of Influence. To kick off the very first video I interviewed Laurie Sperry. Her story is encouraging and inspirational. She never thought of herself as a speaker or running for elected office, but she responded to the prompting and leading of the Holy Spirit and accomplished more than she thought possible. We need more Laurie’s, more Esther’s, more Daniels and Elijah’s. Please pray for the rising up of more people of faith who will respond in a time of need, for such a time as this!
