God Will and Will Not

Prayer: Father, Your grace and mercy are overwhelming. Help me to understand fully the grace and mercy only You can extend to me. In the name of Yeshua Messiah. Amen.

Reading: Job 14 key: vs. 16-17
16 For then You will number my steps;
    You will not keep track of my sin;
17 my transgression will be sealed in a bundle
    and cover over my iniquity.

Attention: Have you ever been aware that there are some things which God will or will not do? Job gives us a key insight into a couple of things which God will or will not do for all of us.

I don’t know about you, but I pray regularly to God that He order my day. It is amazing how much better and smoother my day goes when He organizes it. I may write down the things I need to accomplish but at the end of the day, when I have asked Him to take control and order my day, I can reflect with a smile at how He orchestrated it. And, many times, there are bonus God things that He inserts into those days. Things like serendipities. What is a serendipity? Serendipities are what I call God planned appointments. Appointments are intentional meetings of people crossing our path which either receive a blessing from us or bless our lives by their appearing.

The second thing which Job introduces us to is that God does not keep track of our sins. I find it interesting that in a time of The Law that Job knew this concept and character of God. The apostle Matthew told us of an account where Jesus told a crowd, “For which is easier, to say, your sins are forgiven, or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But so you may know, that the Son of Man has authority on earth to pardon sins” (Matthew 9:1-8).

In fact, King David knew something else about God’s character. In Psalm 103: 11-12 for those who seek His grace and mercy. “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His mercy for those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Did you know that? For those who repent like David and turn from their sin, God not only forgives our sins, but He also casts them far away from us. How far is the east from the west? It is infinite in distance, as they never meet!

I encourage you beginning today to do two things; to ask God to order your day and repent, asking God to forgive your sin. This action on your part will trigger God to transform your life!

Action: I will ask God to order my steps today and I will repent of known and unknown sin.

Yield: I give control of my day and my life to God.

Engage: I engage with God by giving Him control.

Relationship: He is God, and I am not. He is Divine, I am the branch. (John 15)

Prayer: Father, praise You! Only You have the authority and power to forgive my sin, and then cast it away from me eternally. Thank You for the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus! Amen.

Memory Verse: Psalm 103:12

so far has He removed our transgressions from us
