Prayer: Father, may everyone who reads this chapter in Job claim and exclaim, I know that my Redeemer lives! Amen.
Reading: Job 19 key: vs25-27a
25 “Yet I know that my Redeemer lives,
and in the end, He will stand on earth.
26 Even after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;[b]
27 I myself will see Him with my own eyes,
I and not a stranger.
Attention: What a glorious testimony of faith does Job make today! “I know!” Amid every trial Job has faced, through loss of every material possession, through the loss of all his children, through grief and then pain from physical ailment, Job arises to claim, “I know that my Redeemer lives!”
If you can make this same claim with fortitude and resolve because God has brought you through similar circumstances, I encourage you to make a declaration of your faith in God today! Praise Him for His grace and mercy.
Just a couple of chapters prior, Job was broken in spirit and yet he is being brought back to life. God is redeeming his life from the dust and ashes of grief and total despair. He had felt abandoned by God and rebuked by his friends. Even his wife had encouraged him to curse God and die. Can anyone go any lower to the depths of despair?
I am here to say, when you do not think you can go any lower, life cannot get any darker and worse. When you are the lowest low, then look up. God will be there, He is there. He was there all the time.
I hope today that you know God! I hope you can say with complete resolve, “I know that my Redeemer lives!”
Action: I testify today that I know that I know that I know that my Redeemer lives!
Yield: Yielding is resolve and resolve is knowing.
Engage: When I engage with God, my doubt disappears.
Relationship: Knowing God is assurance of His presence in my life.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the awareness and assurance of Your presence in my life. I serve a risen, living, resurrected, indwelling Savior. Amen.
Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 15:3-8
3 For I also passed on to you first of all what I also received—
that Messiah died for our sins
according to the Scriptures,
4 that He was buried,
that He was raised on the third day
according to the Scriptures,
5 and that He appeared to Kefa,
then to the Twelve.
6 Then He appeared to over five hundred
brothers and sisters at one time—
most of them are still alive,
though some have died.
7 Then He appeared to Jacob,
then to all the emissaries,
8 and last of all, as to one untimely born,
He also appeared to me.
