Where is God my Maker?

Prayer: Father, may my friends and I give testimony that even in those moments of despair, You were there all the time. Amen.

Reading: Job 35 key: vs. 10-11
10 But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker,
who gives songs in the night,
11 who teaches us more than the animals of the earth,
who makes us wiser than the birds of the sky?’

Attention: Amid Job’s pain and suffering, Elihu makes an important declaration, “no one says, “Where is God my Maker, (when they know) who gives songs in the night, who teaches us more than the animals of the earth, who makes us wiser than the birds of the sky.” No one asks, “Where is God my Maker,” when they have experienced the comfort which He alone brings.

Some of the most powerful testimonies I have ever hear come from saints whom God has brought through some horrific times. Of all the chapels I attended while in college, one of the most impactful was by a Holocaust survivor by the name of Hansi. The two things I remember from her speaking was that God was present in all the horror of that war. She and her husband helped save thousands of Jewish lives through deportation to Switzerland and other options. She ended her speech by making a statement about end time theology, (since the school I was attending was premillennial) by saying, “I hope you are right.” (Here is a link to Wikipedia: Hansi Brand – Wikipedia

Even in our darkest hours, God is there with us. He promised He would never leave or forsake us.

Action: I affirm and confirm that God is with us all the time.

Yield: I am yielded when I acknowledge God’s all time, twenty-four seven, presence.

Engage: I am engaged with God when I acknowledge His presence.

Relationship: I love intimacy with God.

Prayer: Father, thank You for being an all-everything God. Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, heavenly Father. Amen.

Memory Verse: Matthew 28:20b; Isaiah 49:15-16a
20 teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
14 But Zion said: “Adonai has forsaken me,
Adonai has forgotten me.”
15 “Can a woman forget her nursing baby
or lack compassion for a child of her womb?
Even if these forget,
I will not forget you.
16 Behold, I have engraved you
on the palms of My hands.
