Prayer: Father, like David, I pronounce (ascribe) to You glory and strength, I give glory to Your Name and bow my body and heart before You, in holiness. Amen.
Reading: Psalm 29 key: vs. 11
11 Adonai gives strength to His people.
Adonai blesses His people with shalom.
Attention: Have you heard God’s voice? Do you recognize God’s voice? David gives us some valuable information about what God’s voice sounds like and what it accomplishes.
Did you realize that it is God’s voice which “shatters trees.” Makes the “calf skip.” It manifests in “flames of fire.” His voice “shakes the desert and wilderness.” It also “makes the deer to birth.” His voice spoke creation into existence.
Are you hearing and recognizing His voice today? I find it fascinating that because God has a voice, He gave all the animals and man a voice too. Have you ever been in a place where the bird population is great and every morning they erupt in praise, announcing the coming of the sun or is it the Son?
Are you using your voice to praise God? I want to let you in on a little secret! The very last verse the last Psalm (150) says if you have this one quality, then praise the Lord! I encourage you today, to praise the Lord if you possess what Psalm 150:6 proclaims.
Action: I will use my voice today to “Praise Adonai.”
Yield: I give God praise when I am yielded to Him.
Engage: I will intentionally praise the Lord today!
Relationship: When I praise Adonai, my eyes and heart are lifted vertically where they belong!
Prayer: Father, all my praise and all my glory is given and lifted to You today! Thank You for the example of David, giving You praise, glory and adoration. You are worth of all my praise! Amen.
Memory Verse: Psalm 150:6
6 Let every thing that has breath
praise Adonai. Halleluyah!
