Prayer: Father, may I not be foolish like the world. May I speak out of my love for You and against the narrative which is anti-God and anti-Messiah. May I lead a myriad of people to seek You with all their hearts, and all their minds and all their souls. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Reading: Psalm 53 key: vs. 3
3 God looks down from the heavens
on the children of men,
to see if anyone understands,
who seeks after God.
Attention: Only a fool denies God. Only the foolish resist His Holy Spirit.
I chose to launch 2022 beginning with what I call the Pentateuch of wisdom literature, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, and Job. We all need the wisdom which God brings to us through these five books and the writings of David, various Kohen and Kohanim (priest, priests), Solomon, and Job. How rich and deep are these teachings, relevant for today.
I remind you and myself, it was magi (pagan astrologers) whom we have called for centuries, “wise men,” who first sought the Christ child. Even the pagan and the lost seek for understanding, even if from the wrong sources. We have access to the greatest wisdom available to man in the Bible and the Holy Spirit. This psalm makes it clear that a wise man or woman, still seek Him today! We have only to open the Word, open our hearts, and open our minds to the truth and wisdom of Adonai.
Action: I will intentionally embrace the Choose Life Journal lifestyle and the Word of God as my source of wisdom and truth.
Yield: I am yielded when I seek the wisdom of God to guide my life.
Engage: I am engaged with the Holy Spirit in pursuit of wisdom and truth.
Relationship: It is my relationship with the Holy Spirit which guides me into all truth.
Prayer: Father, You tell me that when I seek You, I will find You, when I seek You with all my heart, mind, and soul. Help me to give You my “all.” All my heart. All my mind. And all my soul. Amen.
