Prayer: Father, I thank You for knowing me so intimately. I ask for new revelation about who You are. I seek understanding of Your ways. Comfort me about my anxious ways. Amen.
Reading: Psalm 94 key: vs.11-12
11 Adonai knows human thoughts—
they are but a breath.
12 Blessed is the one You discipline, Adonai,
and teach him from Your Torah,
Attention: Yeshua asked many questions of His disciples. So, I begin this journal with a question. Have you ever been lied to? In the entirety of your life, has all the information you have been fed been true? Even if unknowingly and not intentional, have you ever been lied to?
The psalmist mentions something today which the world, even among believers in Yeshua today may entertain as the thought, “Adonai doesn’t hear me, “or “He does not see me,” or “He pays no attention to what is happening to me.” The psalmist answers those questions with, “He who planted the ear, does not hear? He who formed the eye, does He not see? He who chastens nations, will He not rebuke—One who teaches humanity knowledge? Adonai knows human thoughts—they are but a breath.”
Why would He not know and understand that which He created? Do you recall as a child thinking, how does my mom know that? It is like she has eyes in the back of her head or a sixth sense. How does she know that? She birthed you. Likewise, if she has that ability, why would we not think that Adonai has a greater ability than her? He knows my thoughts!
We can receive this information about God with joy about being known so intimately, or with fear that God knows who we really are. He knows who belongs to Him because He knows Your heart. You cannot fool Him. Get right with God today! You will be released to worship Him and follow Him in a new dimension of freedom.
Action: Knowing that everything flows from my heart, I repent today of the sin of rebellion, and I seek forgiveness from You O Lord.
Yield: I submit my heart to Adonai.
Engage: I engage in loving Adonai with my whole heart.
Relationship: I want to know Adonai and receive His love.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the words of the psalmist today and the assurance that You know my thoughts. You are watching and hearing me. Thank You for teaching me about Your ways. In the name of Yeshua, amen.
Memory verse: Matthew 15:19-20a
19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, and slander. 20 These are the things that make the man unholy…”
