Prayer: Father, the schemes of man and our common enemy, will never end till Yeshua places him in the bottomless pit. Help us to identify the ongoing evil schemes today. Amen.
Reading: Genesis 11 key vs: 3-4
3 They said to one another, “Come! Let’s make bricks and bake them until they’re hard.” So they used bricks for stone, and tar for mortar.
4 Then they said, “Come! Let’s build ourselves a city, with a tower whose top reaches into heaven. So let’s make a name for ourselves, or else we will be scattered over the face of the whole land.”
Attention: If you read yesterdays journal, we were introduced to a man named Nimrod, whose name means “we shall rebel.” Prior to the Flood, we were told that “every inclination of the thoughts of their heart was only evil all the time.” Was evil eliminated because of the flood? No. The DNA of man still carried the curse of the Fall, and we see evil intent or rebellion springing back up in the scheme of let’s make bricks, which can structurally support a tall “tower whose top reaches into heaven,” and “let’s make a name for ourselves.”
It seems that we can deduct from this passage of scripture, that there are things which transcend what man is allowed to know from the realm of Adonai. There are things in our world which are being or have been created by man which I wonder if they are like in purpose to this tower. An example is the large Hadron Collider build in Cern, Switzerland. If you are not familiar with this project, please do a little research and include information about the ceremonies which have been conducted publicly and in the night at the location. You might also consider looking at AI technology. The intent seems to merge technology with a human brain and make a better man.
Just seems to me that man perhaps with the assistance of the evil one, continues to usurp what is God’s domain only. If we continue to accept and embrace man’s definition of man, that he is good and not depraved, fallen, sinful and in need of a Savior, then we will continue like Nimrod, to test God’s limits.
Action: I choose to look unto God and not lean unto my own understanding.
Yield: I am yielded when I do not try to usurp God’s preeminence.
Engage: I engage with God when I kneel and bow to Him.
Relationship: Working with God and not against Him.
Prayer: Father, may I not seek my own way. May I not seek to make a name for myself. I glory in You. You are Adonai, and I am not. Amen.
Memory Verse: Jeremiah 9: 22-23
22 Thus says Adonai:
“Let not the wise boast in his wisdom
nor the mighty boast in his might
nor the rich glory in his riches.
23 But let one who boasts boast in this:
that he understands and knows Me.
For I am Adonai who exercises lovingkindness,
justice and righteousness on earth.
For in these things I delight.”
It is a declaration of Adonai.
