A Declaration

Prayer: Father, so much to observe in Your Word if our eyes are open. Open my eyes to new discoveries and revelations. Amen.

Reading: Numbers 10 key: vs. 35-36
35 Whenever the Ark would set out, Moses would say:
“Arise, Adonai! May Your enemies be scattered!
May those who hate You flee from before You!”
36 Then whenever it came to rest, he would say:
“Return, Adonai, to the myriad thousands of Israel!”

Attention: In the opening statements of chapter 10, we see the development of an early warning system (an alert), and a system of blasts which directed the movement of marching orders. They were instructed by Adonai through Moses, to “make two trumpets of hammered silver.” Then they were given the system of “blasts” by the trumpets directing the order to move out or gather. Quite ingenious.

Trumpets are also mentioned in the book of Revelation 8-9, each triggering a new aspect of the end times. The apostle Paul declares in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 that a shofar will announce the return of the Messiah. Trumpets play a significant role in end time theology.

One additional observation. The focus scripture above reveals that every time the Ark would set out (the Ark represented the presence of Adonai), he would say, “Arise, Adonai! May Your enemies be scattered! May those who hate You flee from before You!” This is a significant statement. As a nation, Adonai had covenanted with the father of the Hebrew nation, Abraham. Remember the conversation between Adonai and Abraham, when he took Abraham outside his tent and said to “Look up now, at the sky, and count the stars (Genesis 15:5).” Adonai promised that Abraham’s family through Isaac the promised one, would be as numerous as the stars of the sky and sand of the beach.

Yes, Adonai has blessed and favored the U.S.A. However, just because our nation is founded on Christian principles, it is not a Christian nation. The Hebrew nation was Adonai’s possession, they were His people. We become His people through Christ only. We call it being born again. If you are not born again, you are not His.

The vast majority of US citizens no longer recognize the deity and supremacy of Adonai or Yeshua. They also have been taught a theology of deception, believing they are His.

So, who are the enemies to which Moses is referring to? In his time, any one, any nation who was opposed to Adonai and worshipped other gods, were enemies of Israel. Who are Adonai’s enemies today? Are they not the same as His enemies in Moses’ time? The enemies may be harder to identify because we are a blended society. The tares are living among the wheat (Matthew 13:24-30).

The key is being able to identify the enemy. Moses knew who Adonai’s enemies were because they were his too. We have become so indoctrinated by religious systems and the narrative of our culture, that we do not, cannot, recognize the enemy. May we come to recognize Adonai’s enemies as our own. If they are not Adonai’s friends, they are not ours either.

Action: I choose to recognize my enemies as the ones who are Adonai’s enemies.

Yield: I give my rights to live as I want, over to Adonai.

Engage: I desire to be one with Adonai.

Relationship: I choose to live by the Spirit of Adonai.

Prayer: Father, may I see scripture through the lenses of Your eyes. Transform my eyes and mind to see and think as Your ambassador and agent on earth. Amen.

Memory Verse: Matthew 13:18-23
18 “You then, hear the parable of the sower. 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one having been sown along the road.
20 “The one sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy. 21 Yet he has no root himself but lasts only a short while; and when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he falls away.
22 “But the one sown among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word; and the worries of the world and the seduction of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
23 “Now the one sown on the good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands. He indeed bears fruit, yielding a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty times what was sown.”
