Prayer: Father, the complete package of wisdom and grandeur drew people near and far to check out truth. According to Queen Sheba’s testimony, she was wowed, and everything she had been told was confirmed. May I be a testimony of Your wisdom and grandeur. Amen.
Reading: 1 Kings 10 key: vs. 4-6 “So when the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, the palace that he had built, the food at his table, the seating of his courtiers, the attendance of his servants and their attire, his cupbearers, and his burnt offering which he offered in the House of Adonai, she was left breathless. Then she said to the king: “It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your deeds and of your wisdom.” TLV
Attention: Let’s pretend that you were on a game show and were asked what famous person you would like to meet, living or dead? Who would you say? Let’s go a step further, and ask, is there a living person today who is famous because “of the Name of Adonai?” Is there anyone you could name? Remember, the qualification is “famous” because of the Name of Adonai.
I have pondered this question for a while, and it depends on how you interpret “fame,” and is the fame because of Adonai’s Name? Many may have said Billy Graham, but he has passed. Some may say the Pope, but is his fame because of the Name of Adonai?
The queen of Sheba attributed Solomon’s fame to the wisdom which was God-given. The text says she “came to test him with hard questions.” We are not told what kind of hard questions she posed to Solomon, only that she declared that the “report” given to her in her own land proved true and far exceeded her expectations. Her mouth recognized Adonai as the source of justice and righteousness.
From this scriptural account, I am praying that God will raise up people anointed with His wisdom who will give the credit and glory for their success to the Name of Adonai. May the Name of Adonai be lifted high and exalted above all names, above all gods. May more Daniels, Josephs, Esthers, Elijahs, and Moseses arise in this generation and lead God’s people in new dimensions of worship, healing, deliverance, and lifestyle faith living.
