Prayer: Father, all nations will flow to Your prescribed ending. All nations will bow to You and Your judgement. I testify to Your Supremacy. You are Adonai and all gods are subordinate to You. Amen.
Reading: Isaiah 2 key: vs.2-4 “It will come to pass in the last days that the mountain of Adonai’s House will stand firm as head of the mountains and will be exalted above the hills. So all nations will flow to it. Then many peoples will go and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of Adonai, to the House of the God of Jacob! Then He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths.” For Torah will go forth from Zion and the word of Adonai from Jerusalem. He will judge between the nations and decide for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning knives. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn war any more.” TLV
Attention: Isaiah declares through the vision give him by Adonai, the events of the “last days” of time. He is in control and is declaring to the Hebrew nation what will come to pass. They feel “forsaken” by God because of these words. But Isaiah explains Adonai’s actions based on the Hebrew nation forsaking God. For they as a people “are filled with soothsayers from the east, and they have clapped hands with the children of foreigners (vs. 6).” In Deuteronomy 18:10-14 that listening to soothsayers is a practice of foreign nations. They are not to listen to soothsayers.
Their treasuries are full of gold and silver. They are plentiful of horses and chariots, all symbols of war and power. Both wealth and horses/chariots are symbols of power and self-reliance, of which they were warned about in Deuteronomy 17:16-17.
All these things are abominations to God. Many of our nation are engaging in the practices of foreign nations and their people. Unless we prescribe to the biblical understanding that there is no other God but Adonai, we are vulnerable to the same sins and practices of Israel.
Does this sound anything like our nation today. Under the guise of the freedom to practice religion, we have extended freedoms to those who do not worship the only God, Adonai. When we use the general term “religion,” the door is left wide open. We have been defiled and compromised by the absorption of many foreigners who worship gods other than Adonai and we have engaged in their practices.
We cannot legislate our way out of a culture which is subservient to the god of this world. We must call on the Spirit of God to transform us and the culture of this world into His image. Yeshua told Nicodemus, “Unless one is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5).”
Action: I choose to pledge my allegiance to Yeshua as the Messiah of the nations.
Yield: I choose to yield my life to the Lord Jesus, the Messiah.
Engage: I choose to engage with the Supreme God of the Universe, Adonai.
Relationship: I choose to live in intimacy with Adonai.
Prayer: Father, You are God. God of my life and the nation of Israel. You are the God to whom all men will bow and be judged. Help me to be Your light and salt. Amen.
Memory Verse: John 3:5-7 “Yeshua answered, “Amen, amen I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be surprised that I said to you, ‘You all must be born from above.’ TLV
