You Are Mine

Prayer: Father, help me through the course of this day. I ask that You order my day and my steps. I invite Your serendipities (God planned appointments). Amen.

Reading: Isaiah 44 key: vs. 1-5 ““But now listen, Jacob My servant, Israel, whom I have chosen.” Thus says Adonai who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you: “Do not fear, Jacob My servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground. I will pour My Spirit on your offspring, and My blessing on your descendants. They will spring up among the grass like willows by flowing streams. This one will say, ‘I am Adonai’s.’ That one will be called by the name Jacob. Another will write on his hand, ‘Adonai’s’ and will take the name Israel.” TLV

Attention: I was reviewing yesterday’s journal and reread Isaiah 43:1 “But now, thus says Adonai— the One who created you, O Jacob, the One who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are Mine.”

God chose a man (Jacob) and through his seed, He created a nation whom He chose for His possession. He loved them and cared for them as husband to wife. He made covenant with them, promising to “pour My Spirit on your offspring, and My blessing on your descendants.” The covenant relationship the Hebrew nation had with Adonai was extended from Adonai. It was a one-way relationship, reciprocated by obedience from some but not all the time.

My wife has participated in Senior Pageants over the past couple of years. Each participant is required to share a personal philosophy of life as a part of the contest. A number of religions are represented. I asked my wife, what is the difference between your philosophy of life and theirs? The answer is all the contestants believe that God is outside of them and is someone they access outside of themselves. As followers of Messiah, we know that He indwells His true followers. We have declared to God, “I am Yours.”

According to our key scripture, some in that day “wrote on his hand, ‘Adonai’s’.” Have you declared to God that you are His? Isaiah 43:1 says, “for I have redeemed you.” Are you redeemed? To be redeemed means that you have been purchased or bought back. Bought back from what you may ask. Paul gives us the answer in his letter to the Romans 6:17, “you were slaves to sin.” Through the blood of Yeshua, God paid the price (redeemed) us from sin.

Have you received the redemption of Yeshua? If so, in obedience, you want to please Him and no longer to serve your flesh. Understand, when we are redeemed, we have been bought with the price of Yeshua’s blood. We become His purchase, His servant/slave. He has ownership because we have given Him title to our life.

If you do not know Yeshua and have been bought (redeemed and purchased) with His blood. I encourage you to give Him title today!

Action: I choose to give Yeshua title to my life.

Yield: I choose to hand Yeshua the keys to my heart and life.

Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in pursuing a holy lifestyle.

Relationship: I choose to live in holy, obedient, intimate relationship with Adonai.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the redemptive power of the blood of Yeshua. I am bought and paid for by Your blood. I am Yours. Amen.

Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 6:17-20 “But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee from sexual immorality! Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body—but the one committing sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Ruach ha-Kodesh who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.” TLV
