Prayer: Father, You are higher in thought and in Your ways. You are above all Your creation. You are Sovereign. Amen.
Reading: Isaiah 55 key: vs. 8-11 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways.” It is a declaration of Adonai. “For as the heavens are higher than earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without having watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to sow and bread to eat, so My word will be that goes out from My mouth. It will not return to Me in vain, but will accomplish what I intend, and will succeed in what I sent it for.” TLV
Attention: Are you aware that the same amount of water exists today as was on the earth at creation or what scientists claim has been for nearly 5 billion years? Go ahead, google it. I had heard this claim years ago and it makes sense to me that a Sovereign God would create in such balance that earth would be sustainable. Think about it. The hydrologic cycle “describes how water evaporates from the surface of the earth, rises into the atmosphere, cools and condenses into rain or snow in clouds, and falls again to the surface as precipitation (B9ng internet).”
Rain and snow, like God’s Word is sent to man with purpose and intent. Both rain (in any form) and God’s Word, will “accomplish” what God intends and “will succeed in what (He) I sent it for.” Know that what God declares will be fulfilled. His Word will not return empty and unfulfilled. What God declares is mandated by Him.
Adonai declares His thoughts, His ways as far superior to His creation. Neither rain or His word return to Him without accomplishing His purpose or intent. Do you stand on what God has declared? Do you trust God and His Word?
I encourage you in these uncertain days to look to the One who is certain. He declares His love and desire to have a relationship with you. Will you call out to Him today?
Action: I choose to reach out to God whose ways and thoughts are higher than mine.
Yield: I choose to submit to the Lordship of Messiah.
Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in a lifestyle of holiness.
Relationship: I choose to live in obedient intimate relationship with Adonai.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for writing and recording Your Word for me. Your ways and thoughts are higher than mine. May I seek You with all my heart, mind, and soul. Amen.
