Glory Beings

Prayer: Father, may I gain new understanding today about the glory beings which You provide access to for Your Ekklesia. This is a time of activation. Be it so. Amen.

Reading: Ezekiel 10 key: vs. 19-20 “The cheruvim lifted up their wings and arose from the earth in my sight. When they went out, the wheels went with them. They stood still at the door of the east gate of Adonai’s House. The glory of the God of Israel was over them from above. They were the living creatures that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar. I knew that they were cheruvim.” TLV

Attention: One of the principles of Inductive Bible Study is to watch for the repetition of words. I hope there was a particular word which caught your attention in reading today’s scheduled chapter. Ezekiel is relaying valuable information about Adonai’s Angel Armies. Ezekiel calls them “cheruv or cheruvim,” or glory beings. What we typically hear called “angels.” They are real, eternal, spiritual beings.

Ezekiel is not the only prophet or writer of scripture to reference “cheruv/cheruvim.” Daniel speaks of “’watchers’, a holy one, coming down from heaven (4:20),” and “This sentence is by the decree of the ‘watchers’ (4:14).” Watchers are commonly thought of as angels or “cheruv/cheruvim.” In chapter 7, Daniel records “watching …(as) thrones were set up, and the ancient of Days took His seat…Thousands of thousands attended Him and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him (vs. 9-10).” We understand the myriads of thousands to be angelic beings.

Even David was allowed to see into the heavenly realm, “The chariots of God are thousands and thousands (Psalms 68:17).”

The apostle John records in Revelation, “And war broke out in heaven, Michael and his angels making war against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought, but they were not strong enough, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven (12:7-8).” To show the eternal nature of Cheruvim like Michael, he is mentioned by name by Daniel (12:1) and Judah (Jude) (1:9).”

Author Tim Sheets says this about Cheruvim in his book titled, “Angel Armies.” “We need to understand this, as it is instructive for our times. Thousands of angels had assisted the people of God in getting out of Babylonian captivity. It was not just the archangels, Michael, and Gabriel, but also the angel armies they commanded who battled against the Prince of Persia—demon prince—and his demon armies. They were battling in the spirit realm to open up some doors for Daniel in the natural realm.”

May we elevate our understanding of the cheruvim and engage with the angelic armies available to us (pg. 63).”

Action: I choose to embrace and engage in the calling on angel armies to defeat the evil in our world.

Yield: I choose to yield to the move of the Holy Spirit upon the Ekklesia of Adonai.

Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in putting on the full armor of God.

Relationship: I choose to live in holy relationship with Adonai.

Prayer: Father, I pray for elevation of Your angelic armies upon the demonic forces which are terrorizing the nations of the world. May Your Ekklesia team with Your angelic forces to eliminate the demonic forces which are terrorizing the nations. In the name of Messiah Yeshua, I declare today to be a starting point for the combined fighting forces of the Ekklesia’s prayers, declarations, and commands as Your angelic armies turn the tide of the evil foisted upon the nations. Amen.

Memory Verse: 2 Kings 6:16-17 ““Fear not,” he replied, “for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “Adonai, please open his eyes that he may see.” Then Adonai opened the eyes of the young man and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” TLV
