Prayer: Father, may I never get complacent and self-satisfied. Amen.
Reading: Hosea 13 key: vs. 6 “While they were fed, they were satisfied. Filled, their hearts became haughty. Therefore they forgot Me.” TLV
Attention: I am a baby boomer, born in the fifties. The generation of children who benefitted from the growth of industry and economy. Adults bought homes and both parents entered the work force providing a lifestyle which America had never experienced. When times are good, food is plentiful, and national peace prevails, we tend to forget God.
Churches grew during the fifties and sixties. But by the time that Boomers have left the nest, most left God behind. There were so many new philosophies we were exposed to through music, literature, and film. My generation explored the new options through drugs, sex, and rock and roll.
My discovery through the Holy Spirit and Scripture, Messiah is the only way. He is “the way, the truth, and the life!” There is no other way to Adonai, but through Messiah.
If you have forgotten Adonai, if He is not the one you attribute every breath to, please consider the Creator as the One who is the giver of life and begin a new lifestyle of giving Him first place in your heart.
Action: I choose to give God the glory as a lifestyle of praise.
Yield: I choose to declare God as the only God.
Engage: I choose to engage with Holy Spirit power to live for God.
Relationship: I choose to live for the One who died for me.
Prayer: Father, there is no god above You. You are supreme. You alone are God. Amen.
Memory Verse: John 14:6 “Yeshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through Me.” TLV
