Prepare to Meet your God.

Prayer: Father, Your Word exposes my sin and waywardness. Your Word also reveals You as the source of calamity and the purpose of Your judgements as incentives to change my behavior. All Your correction is meant to lead me back to relationship with You. Amen.

Reading: Amos 4 key: vs. 12-13 ““Therefore here is what I will do to you, Israel. Because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, Israel!” For behold! He who forms mountains who creates the wind, who declares His thoughts to man, who makes dawn out of darkness, who walks above the heights of the earth—His Name is Adonai Elohei-Tzva’ot!” TLV

Attention: I have worked in the Insurance field as a licensed agent both as a captive agent and an independent agent. While I was an agent, I found it interesting that the Insurance industry uses the term “Act of God” for excluding certain kinds of coverages like hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes. What they call a natural phenomenon beyond man’s control. To use the term “Act of God” seems to me to acknowledge the existence of God.

Adonai says through Amos, I have “given you cleanness of teeth… and lack of bread (vs. 6); I Myself have withheld from you the rain (vs. 7); I struck you with blight and mildew…the locust has devoured (vs.9); I sent among you a plague…I slew your young men by the sword…I made the stench of your camp rise up even to your own nostrils (vs. 10); I overthrew some of you as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah–yet you have not returned to Me,” declares Adonai (vs. 11).”

How many times did God try to get Israel’s attention? How many times has He tried to get your attention? Is He trying to get your attention now?

We tend to not connect the dots in our lives to actions of God to get our attention. We know when we have secret sin in our lives. We know when we are running away from or alluding God. I encourage you to get right with God and experience a relationship with Him which is beyond our comprehension. He is worthy of our praise!

Action: I choose to live in an obedient relationship with Adonai.

Yield: I choose to live in compliance with God’s will for every follower of His.

Engage: I choose to engage in a lifestyle of obedience to Adonai in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Relationship: I choose to live in relationship with Adonai through Yeshua.

Prayer: Father, You have my attention, my affection, and my praise. You are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. Amen.

Memory Verse: Revelation 4:11 ““Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, For You created all things, and because of Your will they existed and were created!” TLV
