Hearing God’s Voice

Prayer: Father, I love hearing Your voice. I desire to hear Your voice continually. Amen.

Reading: Micah 3 key: vs. 7 “So the seers will be ashamed and the diviners will be abashed. Indeed all of them will cover their lips, for there will be no answer from God.” TLV

Attention: What a wonderful, amazing transition was facilitated by Messiah, when He went to the cross, arose from death and ascended into heaven. The transition from Law (Old Testament) to Relationship (New Testament) is recognized in priesthood of the believer.

In the Old Testament, the prophets, seers, and the priests, functioned as intermediaries between God (Adonai) and man. The common man did not hear from God directly. Only those who were gifted or anointed by God heard His voice. God also lived outside of His anointed. Post resurrection, Yeshu became our High Priest and He lives within us. He tabernacles with man, meaning He resides within us, not a building made by mans hands.

Imagine the implications today if God only spoke through your pastor and they were not in right relationship with God and not hearing His voice.

Adonai declared through Micah, that those who were anointed to hear His voice, would be ashamed and embarrassed that they would no longer hear His voice. They assumed that because they were God’s anointed, that they would secure God’s favor by virtue of their former position as a former intermediary of God’s. They were forewarned that God would hide his face from them “because of their evil deeds (vs. 4).”

You to can hear God’s voice. There are excellent books available on hearing God’ voice. You might consider Hearing God by Ben Dixon. It is a wonderful experience to be in relationship with the living God and hearing His voice.

Action: I choose to hear God’s voice.

Yield: I choose to yield to the leading of the Ruach.

Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in hearing God’s voice.

Relationship: I choose to live in intimate, holy relationship with God.

Prayer: Father, may those who read today’s journal seek to know You by Your voice in Word and Spirit. I praise You for being an intimate, personal Adonai. Amen.

Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Ruach ha-Kodesh who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body. TLV
