What Adonai is seeking from you?

Prayer: Father, I come to You today seeking instruction from Your Word. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, guide and instruct me today. Amen.

Reading: Micah 6 key: vs. 8 “He has told you, humanity, what is good, and what Adonai is seeking from you: Only to practice justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” TLV

Attention: Have you ever experienced working for an employer, or played for a coach, or had a friendship in which their expectations are not clear and written out?

Adonai, through His prophet Micah is clearly addressing all “humanity” regarding His expectations. Many of us have heard Adonai’s words spoken or quoted but were unaware that these words are found in the book of Micah.

If we claim that we are ignorant of God’s expectations, we are claiming we have never read the Bible. Adonai has clearly stated His commandments and expectations about our relationship with Him and all mankind. He has provided us with instructions on our vertical relationship with Him and our horizontal relationships with every person on earth.

May we become readers and studiers of the Greatest Story Ever Told. He wrote it for us so that we would not have to experience the ravages and consequences of our sin (1 Corinthians 10:11). Let us also become active listeners of God’s messages to us. His instructions and commandments are beneficial for our lives. They direct our steps and guide us to eternal abiding with Him.

Action: I choose to live in intimate obedience to Adonai.

Yield: I choose to live in submission to the plan God has for me.

Engage: I choose to engage in humble obedience to Messiah.

Relationship: I choose to live in intimate, obedience to Adonai.

Prayer: Father, to engage with You in intimacy and obedience, we must be aware of Your words. They are life to us. May we hunger and thirst for more of You in Spirit and in Word. Amen.

Memory Verse: Micah 6:8 “He has told you, humanity, what is good, and what Adonai is seeking from you: Only to practice justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” TLV
