Rain in Spring!

Prayer: Father, it is You who gives rain. Even with man’s attempts to manipulate the weather and climate, it is You who gives rain and withholds it. Amen.

Reading: Zechariah 10 key: vs. 1 “Ask Adonai for rain in spring! Adonai makes the storm clouds and will give rain showers and plants of the field to everyone.” TLV

Attention: Do you think there was ever a time when a man thought about ways to seed clouds or manipulate the weather patterns, or put something in space which could block the sun? Have you ever thought about the fact that there is as much water on the earth as has ever been? It is the perfection of God’s creative power, that He created a model which cycles the water by evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Water which evaporates cycles and replenishes, always leaving the same amount of water on the earth.

I embrace this process as an intentional act of God, Adonai. He purposed the rain to water the earth to the benefit of all mankind and all nations. Water sustains the life which God purposed. Notice that He provides rain with equity and without prejudice, just as he provides air to everyone. That is true equity. Everyone has full access to all the air they want.

Notice that the prophet Zechariah, implores us to “ask” Adonai for rain in the spring. He created the rain; He certainly is the source to ask for rain.

Remember next spring to ask God for rain. He will be awaiting your request.

Action: I choose to embrace the need to request rain from God.

Yield: I choose to submit to the supremacy of God.

Engage: I choose to engage in the act of praying for rain next spring or anytime I need it.

Relationship: I choose to live in holy, obedient, relationship with Adonai.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for the rain which You show upon our land. I pray against the cloud seeding and things man is doing to manipulate the weather. Help us to rely on You and call out to You for our needs. Amen.

Memory Verse: Matthew 5: 43-45 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” TLV
