Prayer: Father, teach me today more about You. I want to know You more! Amen.
Reading: Zechariah 14 key: 9 “Adonai will then be King over all the earth. In that day Adonai will be Echad and His Name Echad.” TLV
Attention: We experience athletes and fans of those athletes chanting “We’re No. #1” every season. Proclaiming their team is #1. We read opinion pieces about the top-rated products in a market, or who the richest people are in the world. Articles are written by Sports analysts about the top ten College teams, Heisman hopefuls, or Super Bowl contenders. Sports books post odds for College and Professional Sporting events. So many claims are made about being the top dog.
Through Zechariah, the true Number One emerges. Adonai declares He “will then be King over all the earth. In that day Adonai will be Echad and His Name Echad.” Echad means, “One.” The TLV (Tree of Life Version Glossary) defines Echad as: “One, composite oneness whom He made His covenants. It is derived from the name of the land of Judea, where descendants of all 12 tribes returned from exile to rebuild the Temple. “Jewish” became the word that describes his people or anything that has to do with them, such as holidays and ceremonies.”
Not only do we receive this message from Adonai from Zechariah, but this is the same message Adonai gave Moses: ““Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These words, which I am commanding you today, are to be on your heart. You are to teach them diligently to your children, and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up. Bind them as a sign on your hand, they are to be as frontlets between your eyes, and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).”
The apostle Paul proclaims the same message to the Corinthian followers, “Therefore concerning the eating of idol sacrifices, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no God but one. For even if there are so-called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, through whom are all things, and we exist through Him (1 Corinthians 8:5-6).”
What would it mean to us if we too followed the instruction given to Moses and the apostle Paul? Let us proclaim that Adonai is Echad, One!
Action: I choose to embrace and proclaim, Adonai is Echad, One!
Yield: I choose to submit to the Supremacy of Adonai.
Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in proclaiming Adonai as Echad!
Relationship: I choose to proclaim Adonai as the #1 relationship in my life!
Prayer: Father, You are Echad, One! I proclaim You as the Echad Supreme God. Amen.
Memory Verse: Memory Verse: John 17:20-23 ““I pray not on behalf of these only, but also for those who believe in Me through their message, that they all may be one. Just as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You, so also may they be one in Us, so the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory that You have given to Me I have given to them, that they may be one just as We are one—I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them as You loved Me.” TLV
