Prayer: Father, thank You for the reforms which a king made in returning the Hebrew nation back to the worship of You, Adonai. Amen.
Reading: 2 Chronicles 15 key: vs. 1-5 “Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of Adonai his God. He removed the foreign altars and the high places, smashed the pillars and cut down the Asherah poles. He commanded Judah to seek Adonai, the God of their fathers, and to obey the Torah and the mitzvah. He also removed the high places and the incense stands out of all the cities of Judah. So the kingdom remained untroubled under him. He built up fortified cities in Judah, for the land was untroubled and he was not engaged in warfare during those years because Adonai had given him rest.” TLV
Attention: Isn’t It wonderful to read of a king who a man of action. He “did what was good and right in the eyes of Adonai his God.” He removed idols, he commanded “Judah to seek Adonai …and obey the Torah and the mitzvah.” He removed altars of pagan gods. As a result, God brought peace to Asa’s kingdom.
Isn’t it nice to read that peace follows obedience?
Are you experiencing peace in your life? Has the former chaos which surrounded your life disappeared since you repented, turned from your wickedness, and began worshiping Adonai?
Asa’s story serves as an example of what happens when a nation, a people, and a person returns to Adonai with their whole heart.
I have experienced in my own life, a time when I returned to God (Adonai) and His Spirit began transforming my life. Transformation with the Holy Spirit (Ruach) is a daily journey for a lifetime. It is a relationship, not a devotional. I encourage you to give Him your whole heart today and for the rest of your life.
Action: I choose to follow and embrace the Messiah as my Savior and Lord.
Yield: I choose to yield to the sovereignty of Adonai.
Engage: I choose to engage with Adonai in the power of His Holy Spirit.
Relationship: I choose to live in holy, intimate, obedient relationship with Adonai.
Prayer: Father, how great it is to see a king, a national leader, bow and worship the Sovereign King of the Universe and lead his nation in a return to Adonai. May we see a return in America and the nations to worship You. I declare my love for You! Amen.
Memory Verse: Psalm 103: 17-19 “But the mercy of Adonai is from everlasting to everlasting on those who revere Him, His righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep His covenant, who remember to observe His instructions. Adonai has set up His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.” TLV
