Sleep Deserted the King

Prayer: Father, teach me today from the scriptures, Your holy word. Amen.

Reading: Esther 5-6 key: 6:1-3 “That night sleep deserted the king, so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, be brought in and read before the king. It was found recorded there that Mordecai had revealed that Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs who guarded the door, had conspired to kill King Ahasuerus. The king asked, “What honor or recognition has been shown to Mordecai for this?” The king’s servants that attended him replied, “Nothing has been done for him.” TLV

Attention: Has sleep ever evaded you? Maybe like the king, it would be worthwhile when you are restless and cannot sleep, to take an accounting of your life and ask God to reveal if there is someone you never recognized for a good deed done toward you. Or maybe there is someone who has wronged you and you need to forgive? Or perhaps, you have wronged them and never asked for their forgiveness.

Zeroing out account balances is an act of humility which most of us need to exercise. I recently drafted a list of men who I have offended or hurt over the years. I desire to make things right. If you are reading this and I have offended you and you hold a past grudge, I pray that you will forgive me. I hope that you are on my list and that you will receive my phone call or contact to receive your forgiveness.

If there is someone whom you have offended, I encourage you to have the courage to contact them and resolve the account. I have a biblical source recorded by Matthew, ““For if you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.” ~Yeshua (Matthew 6:14-15).

Our forgiveness with God is based on our forgiveness of others. Oh, and the rewards are received later, from God. Let us be dynamic forgivers as our Father in heaven.

Action: I choose to be a extraordinary forgiver in God’s kingdom.

Yield: I choose to submit to the sovereignty of God.

Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in being a dynamic forgiver.

Relationship: I choose to live in holy, intimate, obedient relationship with God.

Prayer: Father, I desire to zero out my accounts with all men and be a dynamic forgiver. May I be a great representative unto You. Amen.

Memory Verse: Matthew 6:14-15 ““For if you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.” ~Yeshua
