Prayer: Father, thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for Your prophetic word. Amen.
Reading: Isaiah 66 key: vs. 7-8 “Before she was in labor, she gave birth. Before her pain came, she delivered a male child. Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children.” TLV
Attention: Who has ever heard of such a thing? A nation being born in one day. Was Adonai being prophetic, declaring the birth of Zion as a nation?
If you do not know the biblical story of Israel (both man and nation), and you do not know the Old Testament accounts of Adonai’s covenants and relationship with the Hebrew nation, you do not understand what is occurring in the Middle East today, for the roots of Genesis 20 through Chronicles (chronological books of the Old Testament) give us the foundation for understanding the current world order.
In 1948 the nation of Israel which had not existed for hundreds of years (since exile), birthed back into existence according to the prophecies of Adonai, recorded in Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Amos, and Leviticus. (readyandwatching.com), listing ten prophecies about Adonai’s declarations of Israel’s rebirth. Israel’s resurrection as a nation was intentional and purposed by Adonai (God). Her continued existence and favor are purposed by God. For those who contend that Israel never existed as a nation before 1948, they are discounting the biblical narrative and accuracy of scripture. The boundaries found in the books of Genesis 15:18 & 17:8; Deuteronomy 34:1-3; Numbers 34 (Defining the Borders of the Land of Canaan – Numbers 34 – TheTorah.com); Ezekiel 47, and multiple chapters in Joshua.
Much of the narrative you are hearing today is being manufactured in defense of a Palestinian state. I encourage you to read the prophetic words of Adonai, recorded by prophets like Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Moses before accepting the narrative of society.
Action: I choose to embrace the veracity of scripture and Adonai’s declaration of Israel’s birth.
Yield: I choose to submit to the accuracy of scripture as God’s Word.
Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in standing on the authority of scripture.
Relationship: I choose to live in obedient intimate, holy relationship with God.
Prayer: Father, I choose to embrace Your narrative of Israel’s existence, favor, and the border’s which You proclaimed and declared through Your prophets. Amen.
