Prayer: Father, You give me so many things. You give me every breath that I take, every good and perfect thing, comes from You. Amen.
Reading: 1 Chronicles 18 key: vs. 6b & 13b “Adonai gave David victory wherever he went.”
Attention: David was a victorious man, but it was God who “gave” him victory. Just as Adonai had done great things for the nation of Israel in bringing them out of Egypt, supplying their every need in the wilderness (food, water, & shelter), giving victory to Joshua, giving the nation of Israel a promised land, subduing their enemies, etc., through David, God magnified His name.
It was God who gave David the victory! It was God’s mighty hand which was with David. All his enemies feared God because they knew it was God who gave David the victories. Just like the testimony of Rahab (Joshua 2:9-11), the word spread out among the nations of David’s God.
When we are victorious, God’s name is magnified. To magnify God is to acknowledge His supremacy, His greatness, and give Him the glory.
I hope you will choose to magnify the Lord with me today. Give Him glory and praise. For it is He who gives us victory.
Action: I choose to magnify the name of Adonai and give Him all the glory.
Yield: I choose to yield to the sovereign King of Kings.
Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in giving God praise.
Relationship: I choose to live in intimate, holy, obedient relationship with Adonai.
Prayer: Father, it is You who gives me victory over myself, over my enemies, and over those things which attempt to enslave me. You are my Master, Lord, and King. Amen.
Memory Verse: Psalms 34:2-5 “I will bless Adonai at all times. His praise is continually in my mouth. My soul boasts in Adonai. The humble ones hear of it and rejoice. Magnify Adonai with me and let us exalt His Name together. I sought Adonai, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.” TLV
