I am providing this list to show, the god which the nation identifies with. The Biblical God of the Hebrew nation is Adonai and is the God whom all followers of Yahweh should identify with. This is why I use the name of Adonai, so that there is no confusion about which God I am speaking or writing about. The name God in English has become so generic that it embraces many gods and therefore is confusing. The only way that congregants, seekers, the body will know which god we are speaking of is to declare which god we worship. The Hebrew people according to the declaration of Adonai and written by the hand of Zechariah proclaimed; “They will call on My Name and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are My people,’ and they will answer, ‘Adonai is my God.’
Are you able to declare, ‘Adonai is my God?’
The apostle Matthew recorded this exchange with Yeshua and His disciples, “When Yeshua came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” They answered, “Some say John the Immerser, others say Elijah, and still others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” He said, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Yeshua said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven! (16:13-17).
We must declare to everyone, which God we serve and worship! Adonai is the Supreme Creator of the Universe. He is Soli Deo Gloria! God and God alone.
Action: I choose to embrace and declare my allegiance to Adonai.
Yield: I submit to the Sovereign God of the Universe, Adonai.
Engage: I choose to engage in declaring Adonai as my God!
Relationship: I choose to live in intimate, holy, obedient relationship with Adonai.
Prayer: Father, I lift my voice in declaring You as my God. You are Adonai! And You are God alone! Amen.
