Adonai’s Declared Judgement Unfolds

Prayer: Father, the consequences of my sin are ever before me as they were for David. May I learn from Your Word today and gain a healthy fear of You. Amen.

Reading: 2 Samuel 13 key: vs. 37-39 “But Absalom fled and went to Talmai son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. David mourned for his son every day. So Absalom fled, went to Geshur and remained there three years. Then King David’s soul longed to go out to Absalom; for he was comforted about Amnon, since he was dead.” TLV

Attention: Have you ever read accounts of family history where generations of pastors or missionaries came from a patriarch or conversely, generations of pedophiles, rapists, or murderers? What is established with the father can lead to generations of reproductions of the same.

It is important to note that the unfolding of the rest of David’s life in now under the declaration of God recorded in 2 Samuel 12:11-12, “Thus says Adonai: Behold, I am going to raise up evil against you from your own household, and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. Indeed, you have done it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel and under the sun.”

From within David’s own household will be wrongdoing, evil, and sin, manifesting with his children. The same kind of evils which we see today from generational sin.

If your family line emanates from a righteous and holy patriarch, be thankful to God. For most of us, however, we have experienced a father who was tormented by the sins of his father and passed them on. If this is the case, I encourage you, implore you, to obtain healing from righteous counseling, deliverance from a trained deliverer, full indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

We must stop the cycle of generational sin and curses. This is what is meant when Yeshua declared as recorded by Matthew, “The RuachAdonai is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, and to proclaim the year of Adonai’s favor” (Luke 4:18-19). We are captives when we generationally repeat the sins of our fathers.

David’s sin impacted his family for generations. Our sin impacts our children for generations too, unless we stop the cycle of sin. Without the Holy Spirit, we are not able to accomplish this on our own. Today is the day you come free from the generational sins and curses of your father. Cry out to your new Father for the deliverance available only through Yeshua.

Action: I choose today to be released of generational sin and curses by the blood of Yeshua.

Yield: I choose today to give my bondage to Yeshua to be freed of generational sin and curses.

Engage: I choose today to engage with the Holy Spirit in being freed of generational sin and curses.

Relationship: I choose today to stay in a close intimate relationship with Yeshua.

Prayer: Father, I understand how my sin impacts my family and my children’s children. I choose to stop the cycle of generational sin in my family. Please free me today of generational sin and curses. In the name of Yeshua. Amen.

Memory Verse: Isaiah 61: 1-2 “The Ruach Adonai Elohim is on me, because Adonai has anointed me to proclaim Good News to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the year of Adonai’s favor and the day of our God’s vengeance, to comfort all who mourn.” TLV
