Prayer: Father, what You pronounce will come to be. May I never be given over to a curse. Protect me Lord, by the power of Your hand. Amen.
Reading: Isaiah 24 key: vs. 1-3 “Behold, Adonai makes the land empty and makes it waste, twists its face, and scatters its inhabitants. So it shall be: as with the people, so with the kohen, as with a servant, so with his master, as with a maid, so with her mistress, as with a buyer, so with the seller, as with a lender, so with the borrower, as with a creditor, so with the debtor. The land will be utterly emptied, and totally plundered. For Adonai has spoken this word.” TLV
Attention: There was a time years ago that I was talking with someone about the topic of curses. They were shocked at my comment, to even suggest that God might curse someone. I reality, we bring a curse upon ourselves. My response to them was to read Genesis 3, where Adonai curses man, woman, and the land.
We just experienced the advent season of Christmas and may have sung Joy to the World. Do you recall the words of the third stanza? They read like this:
‘No more let sin and sorrow grow, Nor thorns infest the ground. He comes to make, His blessings flow. Far as the curse is found, Far as the curse is found, Far as, Far as the curse is found.” George Frederick Handel
You were not aware that the mention of a curse was contained in Joy To the World? Which curse is Mr. Handel referring to? He is referring to the curse of Genesis 3.
There is an even greater curse found in Galatians 3:10 “For all who rely on the deeds of Torah are under a curse—for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not keep doing everything written in the scroll of the Torah.” Sin brings a curse that is called “death.” Messiah went to the cross to break the curse of sin. He took our curse upon Himself by hanging on the cross (Galatians 3:13).”
Do you want to break the curse which is upon you from Adam’s actions? The second Adam, the Messiah, has broken the curse of sin by going to the cross and raising from death. He is alive. Death did not defeat Him. He defeated death.
If you have not received the gift of Life from the Giver of Life. I encourage you to act on Romans 10:13, “For “Everyone who calls upon the name of Adonai shall be saved.” End the curse upon your life and come to Messiah Yeshua.
Action: I choose to accept the gift of Life from the only One who gives life and forgives sin.
Yield: I choose to surrender to Yeshua Messiah.
Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in following Yeshua Messiah.
Relationship: I choose to live in intimate, obedient relationship with Adonai.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the Life I have found in Yeshua Messiah. I purpose to live for Him and follow Him the rest of my days. Amen.
Memory Verse: Galatians 3:13-14 “Messiah liberated us from Torah’s curse, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)—in order that through Messiah Yeshua the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so we might receive the promise of the Ruach through trusting faith.” TLV
