Prayer: Father, I pray for more divine vision and purpose in my life. Lengthen my chords and strengthen my stakes, expand my reach and influence for Your glory Lord! Amen.
Reading: Proverbs 29 key: vs. 18 Where there is no divine vision people cast off restraint, but blessed is the one who keeps Torah.
Attention: What is vision? In the context of today’s Scripture, vision is defined as “an encounter with God where He imparts special revelation, often intuitively, in dreams (internet dictionary).” God gives divine vision; He is the only source. The King James translation says, “where there is no vision, the people perish.”
My personal experience is that until discovering my purpose in ministry, I floundered. Now I feel driven and compelled to fulfill what God has task me to do. I have a vision, divinely given and I encourage everyone to discover their divinely given purpose. It is empowering to know you are where God wants you and doing what He has purposed you to do.
Solomon tells us today that the characteristic of those who do not have a divine vision (purpose) is they cast of restraint. What does “cast of restraint” mean? No restraint is found in the lives of those who disregard the Torah. They live for today and themselves, rather than living for God and His purposes. It is a selfish lifestyle, characterized by only thinking of themselves.
Paul captures the character of today’s lifestyle in a letter to Timothy, “But understand this, that in the last days hard times will come—for people will be lovers of self, (and the list of descriptors continues in 2 Timothy 3:1-5).” In fact, the final characterization of contemporary people is that they have an “outward form of godliness but denying its power.” Do you know anyone like that? The world needs to see the power of God in the lives of His followers.
The choice is yours. Do you want to have a divine purpose and vision or a self-centered vision of life?
Action: I will represent the power of God in my life to those around me.
Yield: I surrender my vision for a divine vision and purpose.
Engage: I ask the Holy Spirit to empower my life with divine purpose to His glory!
Relationship: Full relationship with God involves divine vision and purpose.
Prayer: Father, I come alive when I know my purpose in your Kingdom. Aimlessness is not an option when I listen to You. Guide me Holy Spirit! Amen.
Memory Verse: Proverbs 29: 18 “Where there is no divine vision people cast off restraint, but blessed is the one who keeps Torah.”

Remember, “Abide in Yeshua, today!”
God gives 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 100 chances. His purpose for us has never changed from day 1. There’s no plan B. Our failures are part of the plan before we even committed it. He repurposed the sins of King David, Rahab, Peter, Jonah, Moses, and other faith hall of famers for His glory. Let us dig deep into that vision He gave us and pursue the worthy purpose! Be blessed! Thank you Rolland!
