Prayer: Father, thank You for the example of faithfulness rewarded today. One man was the difference maker. Amen.
Reading: Jeremiah 39 key: vs. 16-18 ““Go, speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, thus says Adonai-Tzva’ot, the God of Israel: ‘Listen, I will bring about My words on this city for evil and not for good. They will happen before you in that day. But I will deliver you in that day—it is a declaration of Adonai—and you will not be given into the hand of the men whom you dread. “For I will surely rescue you, so you will not fall by the sword. But you will keep your life as spoils, because you put your trust in Me.” It is a declaration of Adonai.” TLV
Attention: Yesterday we were introduced to an Ethiopian man of faith who went to the king and entreated on behalf of Jeremiah about the treatment of God’s prophet. His name was Ebed-melech. Jeremiah’s life was spared and rescued from the pit of death because of his entreaty.
Today, Adonai remembers Ebed-melech and Jeremiah is told by God, to go to Ebed-melech and deliver His message to him, ““For I will surely rescue you, so you will not fall by the sword. But you will keep your life as spoils, because you put your trust in Me.” It is a declaration of Adonai.”
I heard in this passage what all followers of Messiah desire to hear at His return, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!” Here is your reward.
Adonai is seeking faithful servants. I hope you will join me in striving to be faithful servants of Yeshua.
Action: I choose to live a faithful life to Yeshua and hear “Well done!” upon His return.
Yield: I choose to submit to the Lordship of Yeshua.
Engage: I choose to engage in a submissive lifestyle unto Yeshua.
Relationship: I choose to live in an obedient, submissive lifestyle relationship with Yeshua.
Prayer: Father, You desire faithfulness in Your servants. May I be found faithful to You. Amen.
