Prayer: Father, there is one who aspired to displace You and fell from heaven. I acknowledge his existence and subordination to You. Open the eyes of all mankind and awaken them to the one who seeks to destroy them. Amen.
Reading: Isaiah 14 key: vs. 12-15 “How you have fallen from heaven, O brightstar, son of the dawn! How you are cut down to the earth, you who made the nations prostrate! You said in your heart: “I will ascend to heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit upon the mount of meeting, in the uttermost parts of the north. I will ascend above the high places of the clouds— I will make myself like Elyon.” Yet you will be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest parts of the Pit.” TLV
Attention: While Isaiah introduces us to the Messiah, he also reveals the nemesis of all mankind. There is no mistaking who Isaiah is speaking about. The scriptural reference given for the names, “O brightstar” and “son of the dawn” are found in Luke 10:18 “And Yeshua said to them, “I was watching satan fall like lightning from heaven.”
Additionally, the Apostle Paul declares to the community in Thessalonica, “Let no one deceive you in any way, for the Day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the one destined to be destroyed. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in the Temple of God, proclaiming himself that he is God (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).”
How convenient it is for our society and the world to dismiss the reality of a Supreme God and reality of a lawless one who attempts to “oppose and exalt himself above every so-called god or object of worship, …proclaiming himself that he is God.” Remember, one-third of the heavenly host of angels fell (Revelation 12:4a) with the “brightstar, son of dawn.”
We must recognize that our dismissal of scripture and the reality of a Supreme God and a man of lawlessness, does not negate the reality of their existence. Dismissal also does not negate the truth (veracity) of God and the end of the world (His timing) and (His declaration) of a pending judgement.
Just as Isaiah declares Messiah’s entrance into the world, he also reveals Messiah’s take down of the man of lawlessness. Satan’s deception, destruction, lies, counterfeiting, and thievery will end in the bottomless pit. Messiah will overcome and be the Victor.
Awareness of the entirety of scripture provides us with a complete picture of the plan of God to redeem and reconcile fallen man back to Him. The Messiah Yeshua is the only One, only Name, by which man can be saved (born again and redeemed).
