His Chesed Endures Forever!

Prayer: Father, give me a new glimpse of Your mercy and kindness. Give me I pray a new understanding of Your loving kindness which goes on forever. In the name of Yeshua. Amen.

Reading: Psalm 136 key: vs. Part “b” of every verse
for His lovingkindness endures forever.

Attention: If you have had trouble in memorizing scripture, this is a chapter, a psalm that you will love. You will be able to memorize half of this entire psalm by memorizing one line, “for His lovingkindness endures forever!”

Psalm 136 demonstrates dramatically, a key principle of the Inductive approach to Bible study, which the Choose Life method utilizes. Whenever you observe a phrase or word repeated, take special notice of what the Holy Spirit through the author is trying to communicate to you the reader. He is trying to make a point or special emphasis. In this case, the psalmist is driving home a message about Adonai’s character. He is God with a supreme character of mercy, kindness which endures or lasts, forever. How long is forever? Forever. His lovingkindness will never stop, never run out, and never end. He has an endless supply.

Why is Adonai’s nature and character important to understand? The Holy Spirit, the author, or the inspiration of the scriptures, is giving us a picture of who Adonai is. Scripture is a character study of Adonai, which underscores His nature. He has an endless, limitless, supply of Chesed (mercy and kindness), which lasts forever.

Is there something in your past, which you feel has disqualified you from receiving Adonai’s Chesed? I want to assure you that nothing can separate us from His love, or mercy, or kindness. His Chesed transcends our sin and extends to us forever!

Action: I will accept and receive Adonai’s Chesed today! And I will extend his Chesed to those who cross my path in life.

Yield: I give myself to You, Lord!

Engage: When I receive and extend Your Chesed, I engage with Adonai in life.

Relationship: With Adonai, is wrapped in Chesed!

Prayer: Father, I praise You and thank You for Your Chesed, which never runs out and extends forever. Thank You for new understanding and awareness of Your character and nature! Amen.
