How Much Are You Worth

Prayer: Father, I ask for new insight into my value to You. Amen.

Reading: Leviticus 27 key: vs. 1-2
Then Adonai spoke to Moses saying, “Speak to Bnei-Yisrael and say to them: When anyone makes a special vow to Adonai involving the valuation of persons,

Attention: I once heard of a wealthy man who was asked how much he was worth. His reply, “If I knew how much I was worth, I would not be worth much.”

When I read today’s chapter reading, I made a few observations. Perhaps because I no longer fall into the age categories which were appraised greater value by Adonai and for lack of information on how He made these appraisals, I partner with the younger than 20 year olds who were also appraised for less than men between 20-60 years old.

If I was to use the worlds standards, a man’s greatest financial earning power is between 20-60, maybe up to 65, using 65 as a standard retirement age. Notice too, that men were appraised higher than a woman and the elderly lose value.

Adonai’s standards were to be in balance to the Torah’s right of redemption and slavery rules. Praise be to Adonai that we are not only not under the Law, but we also have a new valuation as New Testament followers of Yeshua. I’m reminded of the apostle (emissary) Paul and his letter to the Galatians where he says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male or female—for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua (Galatians 3:28).” Did Messiah abolish or eliminate culture or gender? No. Spiritually, He abolished those things which divide us, so that He could unite us as one in Him.

Action: I am assured of my value in Messiah Yeshua.

Yield: I give my love to the One who loves me.

Engage: I engage with the Holy Spirit in accepting the love Yeshua gave me and gives me daily.

Relationship: I choose to life in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Father, I am so blessed to be living in the greatest time in the history of mankind with the possibility of Yeshua’s return. I embrace the love of Yeshua and His valuation of my worth. Amen.

Memory Verse: John 15:13-14
13 No one has greater love than this: that he lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do what I command you.
