Prayer: Father, what confidence I can glean from Your Word, when I embrace being Your servant. I am Your servant. Thank You for assuring me of Your presence. Amen.
Reading: Isaiah 41 key: vs. 8-10 ““But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham, My friend— I took hold of you from the ends of the earth, and called from its uttermost parts, and said to you, ‘You are My servant— I have chosen you, not rejected you. Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Surely I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” TLV
Attention: How do you envision God? Do you see Him as being a police officer or as a public servant? Someone who stands before you and gives you a lecture?
Like a child, God has Israel the nation and Jacob the man, stand before Him as He addressed them as a servant and acknowledges their descendant Abraham as His friend. Adonai says, “I took hold of you” and declared to you, “You are My servant—I have chosen you.” What powerful words of assurance. “I have chosen you!” Above all others, “I have chosen you!” Then He assures them, “I and with you!”
As I have been journaling through Isaiah, my wife revealed to me that verse 10 is her favorite scripture, or what I call a life verse. As I write this journal, she is being interviewed by a panel of judges at the Ms. Senior Universe Pageant. We spoke together this morning about God’s promised presence in those who are His.
I shared with her Yeshua’s words recorded in John 14, “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him. You know Him, because He abides with you and will be in you” (17).
She is waking into her interview with the presence of the indwelling Spirit of God. She is not alone. Unlike the other participants, she has the living Spirit of Adonai walking into her interview together! How powerful is that? Yeshua promised to never leave us or forsake us. If we embrace that reality, we can always walk in ultimate confidence of His presence in all situations.
Action: I choose to always walk in the confidence of Adonai’s presence.
Yield: I choose to submit to the reality of being a servant of God.
Engage: I choose to engage with the presence of the Spirit of God.
Relationship: I choose to live in the all-time presence of the Living God.
Prayer: Father, my confidence is in You. Thank You for Your all-time presence. In every situation may I be reminded of Your presence. Amen.
Memory Verse: John 14:17 “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him. You know Him, because He abides with you and will be in you.” TLV
