I Have No Pleasure

Prayer: Father, may I have Your mind and heart. Amen.

Reading: Ezekiel 18 Key: vs. 32 “For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies”—it is a declaration of Adonai— “so return, and live!” TLV

Attention: In his book “The Mind of Christ: The Transforming Power of Thinking His Thoughts, T.W. Hunt states, “The mind has always been more important to God than our outward actions. In the Old Testament, the emphasis was on the heart. At times, the Bible uses the word heart where we would use the word mind, as in the injunction, ‘Apply your heart to discipline’ (Prov. 23:12). In the New Testament, Jesus used the word heart in the same sense, ‘And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, ‘Why are you thinking evil in your hearts?’ (Matt. 9:4).”

I attended a men’s group last night and considering the recent actions in the middle east, a man asked for prayer, for Israel. At that moment, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “what about praying for Iran?” I did not say anything corporately, but the words of Yeshua recorded by Mattnew say, ““You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous (Matthew 5:43-45).”

Today, Adonai tells Ezekiel, “I have no pleasure in the death of anyone (Greek or Hebrew) anyone,” for I created all men.

Adonai did a mighty act of sovereign protection over the weekend. He can and has defeated Israel’s enemies on His own. So, it was no surprise to me the results of Iran’s attack on Israel.

Consider praying for Iran and their allies. May they come to their senses, for they may be fighting against God. May they come to acknowledge the supremacy of God, like Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4:34).

May we come to acknowledge; Adonai desires the salvation of all men (John 3:16-18).

Action: I choose to pray for God’s will, the salvation of all.

Yield: I choose to submit to the Holy Spirit’s desire for all men.

Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in the salvation of both Greek and Hebrew.

Relationship: I choose to live in intimate, obedient relationship with God.

Prayer: Father, help us to acquire the mind of Christ and the desire to see all men saved. May all men turn to You and live. Life is only found in Yeshua. May we find pleasure in what You find pleasure. Amen.

Memory Verse: Luke 15:10 “In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” TLV
