It is Good to Praise!

Prayer: Father, You are worthy to be praised. The scriptures declare that I am to praise You and if I don’t, You will find other instruments to give You praise. May I as Your follower fulfill who I am to be unto You. Amen.

Reading: Psalm 92 key: vs. 2-3
It is good to praise Adonai
and to make music to Your Name, Elyon,
to declare Your love in the morning
and Your faithfulness at night,

Attention: Is the act of praise, difficult for you? Whether in public corporate worship of alone with God, do you have difficulty in giving Adonai praise?

My experience is that the greater I know the Word (Scripture), the greater I know Adonai. And the greater I know Adonai, the more my heart, mind and soul praises Him.

The scriptures tell us that King David danced before the Lord (2 Samuel 6:14). I have never danced before the Lord, but I have cried many times (being overwhelmed by His presence), raised my hands many times while singing or declaring His praise. My voice engages with my heart and expresses praise. What is internal, is audibly, spontaneously expressed.

The Apostle Luke records a time in which a “whole crowd of disciples began to rejoice. They praised God with a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen, saying,

‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of Adonai! Shalom in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher rebuke your disciples!” But answering, Yeshua said, “I tell you that if these keep silent, the stones will shout out!”

Are you holding out or suppressing praise to Adonai. The more you come to intimately know Adonai, the praise will flow from your heart and pour forth from your mouth.

Action: I ask the Holy Spirit to activate an attitude and lifestyle of praise in my life today!

Yield: I yield to a lifestyle of praise which begins in my heart and flows from my lips!

Engage: I choose to be a mouthpiece of praise!

Relationship: Praise is the fruit of a vertical abiding relationship with Adonai!

Prayer: Father, I desire that a heart of praise be the lifestyle which flows from within me. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You. Amen.

Memory Verse: Psalm 19:15
15 May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable before You,
Adonai, my Rock and my Redeemer.
