Prayer: Father, I choose to enter Your presence this morning. I want to begin each day with You. You launch my day with a proper attitude and desire to live each day with awareness of You. Order my steps today. Bring my path to cross with the people who are ready to know You and need Your touch. Amen.
Reading: Psalm 100 key: vs. 3
3 Know that Adonai, He is God.
It is He who has made us, and we are His.
We are His people, the sheep of His pasture
Attention: I want to share with those who are new to the Choose Life Journal plan to begin journaling at your level of understanding. Keep it simple and grow with each day, each month, and each year. Have a long-term life approach to Bible study. Think of your progress in knowing Yeshua like the stages of life, from infant to adult. It took you years of instruction to become an adult and even as adults, we still learn. Be a lifelong learner and consumer of wisdom. Be encouraged, you will see your progress over the years.
I say this because years ago, I wondered how I can daily, find something to journal about. It all seemed overwhelming. But, with the help of the Holy Spirit who is our mentor, He has never failed to give me new insights if I will reread and reread and ponder over the passage. He has never failed me.
There is a simple message contained in today’s psalm. The psalmist affirms his knowledge of the Creator. “It is He who made us!”
People want to know their roots. So much so that in the past couple of decades, a billion-dollar industry emerged helping people discover their ancestors, their roots. The Bible declares that we were created by the hand of Adonai, and He breathed the breath of life into us. We were not an accident or a coincidence, we were purposed. The psalmist directs us to our Creator, “Know that Adonai, He is God.” Can you affirm in your heart today, Adonai is God? He is my God! I am a sheep in His pasture. This is the heart of Psalm 23. Please claim today that the Lord is my Shepherd!
Action: The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want (or be in want of anything.)
Yield: My surrender to the Great Shepherd.
Engage: I follow the Great Shepherd.
Relationship: I am a sheep; He is the Shepherd.
Prayer: Father, give me ears to hear and eyes to see, and a heart to believe. Amen.
Memory Verse: Psalm 100: 3
