Prayer: Father, there is none like You. You are clothed in majesty! Teach me this morning a taste of Your majesty. Give me a glimpse of Your majesty. Amen.
Reading: Psalm 93 vs. 1-2
1 Adonai reigns—He is robed in majesty!
Adonai has robed and armed Himself with strength.
Yes, the world is firmly established—unshakable.
2 Your throne is established from of old.
You are from everlasting.
Attention: I have many times used the word majestic to describe the Olympic or Cascade mountains on a clear and sunny winter day when they display their snowcapped elegance. They are an incredible display of Adonai’s creative wonder.
I went to an online dictionary and the synonyms they offered for majesty were, sovereignty, authority, power, dominion, and supremacy. Isn’t it fascinating that one of the manufacturers of voting machines utilized a character of Adonai? Our enemy enjoys counterfeiting words ascribed to Adonai and Him alone.
Notice that the psalmist provides us with a word picture in the beginning verse, “He is robed in majesty!” Adonai is majesty personified. He is! The psalmist uses an earthly metaphor to give us some idea of majesty, “more majestic than the breakers of the sea—so majestic is Adonai on high!” Know that Adonai is more majestic than the highest image we can imagine. The world, what we call the universe is His purvey.
Ponder today, His majesty. The angels around the throne repeat seven words of praise to the Lamb of God:
“Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might belong to our God forever and ever. Amen!”
If you know that you are among those who will be standing around the throne and worshipping Adonai, you might want to memorize these words inspired by the Holy Spirit and recorded by John the Revelator because we will be repeating them to the One, we love.
Action: I choose to worship His majesty!
Yield: I will surrender to His majesty!
Engage: I engage when I worship His majesty!
Relationship: I am in full surrender when I worship His majesty!
Prayer: Father, may I worship Your majesty today and all the days of my life both here and before Your throne. Reveal Your majesty to me today through Your Word and Your creation. In Yeshua’s name, amen.
Memory verse: Hebrews 8:1-2
Now here is the main point being said. We do have such a Kohen Gadol, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens. 2 He is a priestly attendant of the Holies and the true Tent—which Adonai set up, not man.
