Prayer: Father, You continue to amaze me. Your timing is impeccable. Your surprises are overwhelming. I sing Your praises today! Thank You. Amen.
Reading: Psalm 26 key: 6-7
6 I will wash my hands in innocence,
so I can walk around Your altar, Adonai,
7 hearing the voice of thanksgiving
while proclaiming all Your wonders.
Attention: Have you ever been pleasantly surprised by God? Don’t you love those moments when He shows up and shows off? Moments like when we have been praying for something specific and it is fulfilled. Maybe it is a long prayed for job and it appears. Maybe it is a child we have not heard from in years, and they reconnect with a phone call. Maybe it is an unexpected windfall financially. Maybe it is a phone call from your doctor with good news.
Be prepared because 2022 is the year of a new move of God. Just as David asked for a refining of mind and heart (vs. 2), a refocus which embraced God and hated that which God hates, falsehood, hypocrites, evildoers, and wickedness. He rejoices before God’s altar “with a voice of thanksgiving while proclaiming all His (Your) wonders (vs. 7).”
I want to draw near to God in 2022. I want to embrace what He embraces and hate what He hates. I want to rejoice with a voice of thanksgiving along with you this year at the wonders He performs!
Action: I rejoice today, and I sing praises to God who has surprised me with affirming financial blessings.
Yield: I am surrendered when I give God the glory!
Engaged: I am engaged with God when I give Him glory and praise.
Relationship: His blessing and discipline affirm relationship with God.
Prayer: Father, You have been so kind to me. Unmerited blessing, grace, and mercy. Amen.
