Revealer of Mysteries

Prayer: Father, You are the revealer of mysteries. You change times and seasons. You remove kings and install kings. You give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. You reveal deep and hidden things. You know what lies in darkness and light dwells with You. You are the God of heaven (Daniel 2:19-23). Amen.

Reading: Daniel 2 key: vs. 27-28 “Daniel answered the king, saying: “The mystery about which the king inquired is such that neither wise men, astrologers, magicians, or sorcerers can disclose it to the king. But, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar the things that will happen in the latter days. The dream and the visions that went through your head as you lay on your bed are these.” TLV

Attention: According to Allied Market Research, “The Global Astrology Market Size was valued at $12.8 billion in 2021.” People were flocking to astrology apps in search of answers to a litany of questions concerning health and wealth.

According to the scriptures in today’s study of Daniel, people are looking to the wrong source for answers to the issues facing us from the global military actions of today, to the pandemic of the past.

What would Daniel tell us today? I believe he would declare the same message, “There is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries!

Are people seeking revelation from the right source? Are God’s prophet’s heralding the signs and interpretations of the times? Are we listening to the right voice? Are we seeking and listening to God only?

When Daniel was sought out, he revealed only what Adonai revealed to him. He was an instrument used by God to deliver God’s message. Even Daniel confessed to the king, “But as for me, this mystery is not revealed to me because I possess more wisdom than any other living person, but in order that the king may know the interpretation and understand the thoughts of your heart (vs. 30).”

Daniel possessed no special “wisdom,” rather he was obedient to God in passing God’s revelation along.

Are you uniquely and totally God’s. Daniel was a servant of the most High. His name meaning “God’s judge” or “God is Judge” gave Daniel his identity, not the assigned name (Belteshazzar, meaning “protect the kings life”) Nebuchadnezzar gave him.

If you in Christ the Messiah, you have a new identity as His own. You have a voice and a message. He, God, is the only voice we listen too. I encourage you to seek God only and not the voices of the world. He alone is the revealer of dreams and visions.

Action: I choose to shut out the messages of the world and listen only to the voice of God.

Yield: I choose to submit to the Supreme Authority of Adonai.

Engage: I choose to engage in the process of seeking God only.

Relationship: I choose to live in intimate relationship with God.

Prayer: Father, may we be exclusively Yours. We need not listen to any other voice but Yours. I am wholly Yours. Amen.

Memory Verse: Galatians 1:11-12 “Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the Good News proclaimed by me is not man-made. I did not receive it from any human, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Yeshua the Messiah.” TLV
