Prayer: Father, when Your Spirit comes upon a man or woman, Your power is unleashed. May I experience more of Your power in Spirit. Amen.
Reading: Judges 15 key: vs. 14-16 “When he arrived at Lehi, the Philistines shouted upon meeting him. But the Ruach Adonai came mightily upon him so that the ropes that were on his arms became like flax burned with fire and his bonds melted off his wrists. Then he found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out and took it, and killed a thousand men with it. Then Samson said, “With the jawbone of a donkey, a heap … two heaps, with the jawbone of a donkey I struck down a thousand men.” TLV
Attention: The promise and sign of the Holy Spirit in Acts 1:8 is “power.” I have evidenced plenty of people who declare that the evidence of the Holy Spirit’s coming was a heavenly language or tongues and did not manifest power. In Acts we see a corporate manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit.
In and throughout the Old Testament, we witness individuals manifesting the power of the Ruach-Elohim and groups given supernatural abilities as craftsmen of the Tent of Meeting (Exodus 31:3-5).
In today’s reading, Samson has the Ruach Adonai come upon him and as a result, he slays a thousand men with the jawbone of a donkey. A jawbone is not an ordinary implement of war. Yet, in the hands of one endowed with a supernatural power, he kills one thousand.
What instrument is available to you, in which Holy Spirit powered, could do mighty things for God? Do you have a skill like the trades people in Exodus 31? Are you a skilled musician, doctor, health practitioner, businessman or woman? Have you placed whatever is in your hands and made available to God?
I pray that all followers of Yeshua, experience not only the receiving of power to do His will, but receiving of power at a critical time when God will receive the glory!
Action: I choose today to give God whatever skills, talents, instruments I possess to be supernaturally powered by the Holy Spirit for His glory.
Yield: I choose to yield whatever I possess for His glory!
Engage: I choose to engage in a lifestyle giving my life unto the Holy Spirit and be filled with His power.
Relationship: I choose today to dwell (abide) in the presence of the Ruach Adonai.
Prayer: Father, order my steps today. Lead me across the path of someone who needs a word from You. Help me to represent You well. Display Your power through me. Amen.
