Secret

Prayer: Father, open my ears and open my eyes to see and know Your Word. What you wanted me to know, You recorded in Your Word and reveal to me through Your Spirit. Amen.

Reading: Isaiah 48 key: vs. 16 “Draw near to Me, hear this: Since the beginning, I have not spoken in secret. From the time it existed, I was there. So now Adonai Elohim has sent Me, and His Ruach.” TLV

Attention: Years ago, there was a daily show on television called, I’ve Got a Secret. A guest would enter the set and sign their name on a chalk board. A panel of celebrities would be introduced to the guest, a brief introduction would be read to the audience and panel about the guest and the panel would pursue questioning of the guest. For every right question, the panelist would get to ask another question. When the panelist received a no to their question, a chart would be flipped over, and money would be added to the guest’s account.

God establishes through Isaiah, that He has been open and upfront about who He is, and He has not spoken in secret. The Bible is the most purchased book in the history of published books. According to the internet, “The best-selling book of all time is the Christian Bible. While it’s impossible to know the exact number of copies printed over the roughly 1500 years since its contents were standardized, research conducted by the British and Foreign Bible Society in 2021 suggests that the total number probably lies between 5 and 7 billion copies.”

Yet it is the least understood and misquoted book because few read it from cover to cover. God has been and is speaking to us through His Word and His Spirit. While God has secrets, He has not spoken in secret as revealed in our key scripture today.

Moses recorded these words, ““The secret things belong to Adonai our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever—in order to do all the words of this Torah” (Deuteronomy 29:28). God does have secrets, but all that He has revealed is for our instruction and knowing Him.

Action: I choose to know the revealed secrets of God in His Word.

Yield: I choose to yield to the Spirit in being taught the revealed secret things of God.

Engage: I choose to engage in the search of the revealed secrets of God.

Relationship: I choose to live in obedient, intimate relationship with God

Prayer: Father, we know not because we do not search the scriptures for the revealed secrets. The treasure of Your Word is available for our study and instruction. Thank You for Your revealed secrets. Amen.

Memory Verse: Deuteronomy 29:28 “The secret things belong to Adonai our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever—in order to do all the words of this Torah.”
