The Bible Project overview (Genesis 12-50) Watch: Genesis 12-50 Bible Book Overview Video | BibleProject™
Reading: Genesis 12 key: vs. 2-3
2 My heart’s desire is to make you into a great nation, to bless you,
to make your name great so that you may be a blessing.
3 My desire is to bless those who bless you,
but whoever curses you I will curse,
and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.
Attention: Today, Adonai makes a promise to Abram, “My heart’s desire is to make you into a great nation, to bless you, to make your name great so that you may be a blessing. My desire is to bless those who bless you but whoever curses you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
The very nature of Adonai’s covenant promise to Abram is to be eternal, forever. So, what does it mean that “in you all the families of earth will be blessed?” I did a little internet surfing by typing “what awards has the nation of Israel won for technology?” Here is an article which lists the top 64 technologies produced by the citizens of Israel, The top 64 innovations developed in Israel – ISRAEL21c.
Do you realize that Israel has “the most startups per capita worldwide, and the third highest number of patents per head, Israel has become one of the leading players in the world of high-tech innovation, attracting international giants to its shores according to the internet?”
After hundreds of decades, Adonai’s promise to Abram proves His faithfulness to His covenant. Even our nation is blessed or cursed, by our support and responses to Israel. Scripture establishes the importance of our nation blessing Israel.
Action: I will pray for Israel. I will bless Israel. I praise Adonai for His eternal covenant blessing.
Yield: I yield to Adonai’s plan for mankind and His covenant people.
Engage: I engage with Adonai when I bless that which He blesses.
Relationship: I am in relationship with Adonai when I bless His covenant people.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your eternal covenants You have made for my benefit and the benefit of Your covenant people. Help us as we study Genesis, to gain new understanding of how the scriptures prior to Yeshua are relevant to us today. In the name of Yeshua, amen.
Memory Verse: Genesis 12: 3
3 My desire is to bless those who bless you,
