Prayer: Father, I long to experience and see Your glory. I ask for new understanding and awareness of Your glory. Amen.
Reading: Ezekiel 43 key: vs. 1-5 “Then he led me to the gate, the gate looking east, and behold, the glory of the God of Israel was coming from the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters. The earth was radiant with His glory. The appearance of the vision that I saw was like the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city. The visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar. So I fell on my face. Then the glory of Adonai came into the House by way of the gate facing the east. The Ruach took me up and brought me into the inner court. Then behold, the glory of Adonai filled the House.” TLV
Attention: As we discovered yesterday, Ezekiel is given a download from Adonai via a messenger, describing the new rebuilt temple, and now he is being told that like Solomon’s Temple, Zerubbabel’s Temple will experience the “glory of Adonai (filling) filled the House.” The presence and glory of Adonai was so great that Ezekiel found himself flat “on my face.” He was prostrate before Adonai.
There are other scriptural events which records the glory of Adonai being manifest by His presence. In the Old Testament, Moses’ encounter with Adonai on Mt. Sinai, where Moses asked to be shown His glory. The Mount of Transfiguration recorded in Matthew 17, Mark 9, and Luke 9, each testify, “Now He was transfigured before them; His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.”
The writer of Hebrews states, “This Son is the radiance of His glory and the imprint of His being, upholding all things by His powerful word. When He had made purification for our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Thus He became as far above the angels as the name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs (Hebrews 1:3-4).” Messiah carries the glory of His Father Adonai. He is the “radiance of His glory.”
The apostle John declares God’s glory in Revelation 21:10-11 “Then he carried me away in the Ruach to a great and high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God—her radiance like a most precious stone, like a jasper, sparkling like crystal.”
This is just a taste of the glory of God as referenced by prophets and apostles recorded in scripture. I hope you will look for and seek the glory of God. I hope your worship will demonstrate your desire to praise the One who is worthy of our praise as you look upon His glory!
Action: I choose to praise God for His marvelous glory!
Yield: I choose to yield to the Ruach as He reveals to me the glory of Messiah.
Engage: I choose to engage with the Ruach in praising the One who is full of glory.
Relationship: I choose to live in holy, intimate, obedient relationship with Adonai.
Prayer: Father, oh the glory of Your presence. I have experienced Your presence day and night, in worship, in Your Word, in fellowship, in angelic or messenger visitation, in healing, in inspiration from the Ruach, and in communion with You. Amen.
Memory Verse: Hebrews 1:3-4 “This Son is the radiance of His glory and the imprint of His being, upholding all things by His powerful word. When He had made purification for our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Thus He became as far above the angels as the name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs.” TLV
