Prayer: Father, I pray for the day when my adversaries will say, it is obvious to us that Adonai has been with you. What a compliment! Amen.
Reading: Genesis 26 key: vs. 26-29
26 Now Abimelech went to him from Gerar along with Achuzzat his friend and Phicol the commander of his army. 27 Isaac said to them, “Why have you come to me, since you hate me and sent me away from you?”
28 They said, “We’ve clearly seen that Adonai has been with you. So we said, ‘Let there now be an agreement between us—between us and you—and let us make a covenant with you: 29 that you will do us no harm, just as we haven’t touched you and just as we did nothing to you but good, and sent you away in shalom. You are now blessed by Adonai.”
Attention: While reading today’s key verses, I was immediately reminded of the scripture in Proverbs which says, “When one’s ways are pleasing to Adonai, he makes even his enemies be at peace with him” (16:7).
Imagine that the King of the universe is working on your behalf to bring peace! That is the promise of this verse. Who is Isaac? He is the son of promise, the son of Abraham. Who are you? A child (son or daughter) of the Most High Adonai.
What a supreme compliment, to have one’s enemy come requesting peace and offering a covenant to and with Isaac. How does Isaac respond? “Then he made a feast for them and they ate and drank. They got up early in the morning and made a pledge, each to his brother. Then Isaac sent them away and they departed from him in shalom (peace).”
Is there a situation with a neighbor, a business partner, or client which been adversarial, and peace and resolve is needed? Has it been years since you and a son or daughter have spoken to each other? Have you or your in-laws cut off all contact with you and grandchildren?
I declare 2023 will be the year of reconciliation, repentance, and restoration. I pray that you will join me in praying for the restoration of families this year. May peace reign in your family, community, and nation this year!
Action: I will pray for restoration of my family daily throughout this year.
Yield: I give Adonai a specific situation for His involvement.

Prayer: Father, You orchestrated the covenant of peace for Isaac. I pray that You will intervene in my life to bring peace to my family and the families of my friends today! In the name of Yeshua, amen.
