Prayer: Father, guide me in Your wisdom. Instruct me today in Your ways. Amen.
Reading: Hosea 14 key: vs. 10 “Who is wise? Let him discern these things. Who is intelligent? Let him know them. For the ways of Adonai are straight, and the just walk in them, but the wicked stumble in them.” TLV
Attention: Do you consider yourself wise? I think most of us would answer, yes, because to say no may mean we are admitting to being foolish. What does king Solomon say about the topic of wisdom? He says, “fools despise wisdom and discipline.” No one would admit to despising wisdom.
Yet, Hosea is prophesying that a wise person “walks in” the wise ways of Adonai. Those who do not know Adonai may try to plead ignorance. But those who claim to know God would be wise to walk in His ways. The inspired scriptures reveal the lifestyle of a wisdom pursuing person. This is lifestyle wisdom gleaned from scripture and the mentoring of the Holy Spirit.
Walk in wisdom my friend. The scriptures reveal what that looks like. Wisdom manifests itself in obedience to the Sovereign King of Kings and His word.
Action: I choose to get into the wisdom word of God. When I get into the Word, the Word gets into me.
Yield: I choose to yield to the Holy Spirit lifestyle of obedient living.
Engage: I choose to engage with God in the power of His Spirit.
Relationship: I choose to live in obedient relationship with God.
Prayer: Father, there is no other God but You. I am Your servant and slave. Amen.
Memory Verse: John 1:1-2 “In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.”
