You Did Not Make Me

Prayer: Father, I cannot imagine questioning Your sovereignty. You created the world and mankind. I worship You as The Supreme Ruler of all the World. Amen.

Reading: Isaiah 29 key: vs. 15-16 “Oy , those who go to great depths to hide their plans from Adonai! Their works are in the dark. They say, “Who sees us? Who knows us?” Your perversity! Should the potter be regarded the same as the clay? Should the thing made say to its maker, “You did not make me”? Or the thing formed say of its former, “You have no understanding?” TLV

Attention: Today’s key verse sounds like a headline and current narrative of those who try to take charge of the narrative. Never have we seen such polarization in our society. Those who would have us believe that there are many genders, are flying in the face of God declaration of creation. What He calls abominable, society labels as natural. What He calls sin, society labels as freedom of expression.

There must come a time for all who choose to follow Adonai, that we see mankind as He sees us. Society has taken over that narrative too. I read an article last night about a priest and town in Italy who have a nativity set with two women displayed in the nativity (Church Nativity Scene With 2 Mothers Of Baby Jesus Sparks Anger In Italy (ndtv.com). Are we attempting to be true to the biblical narrative or the narrative of society?

Followers of Adonai are responsible to the biblical text. Adonai is the Supreme Creator and Maker of all the world. It is like a child, questioning why his father has the right to make up the rules of the house. Your father provided the house, so he had the right to make the rules. He brought you into the world, so he has the right to make the rules.

Allow God to enforce His rules. We have the responsibility to be His voice and declare Him God.

Action: I choose to declare God’s sovereignty.

Yield: I choose to yield to the God who is sovereign.

Engage: I choose to engage with sovereign God.

Relationship: I choose to live in obedient intimate relationship with God.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the scriptures which are the guide for our life. Your Word is a lamp to my feet! Amen.

Memory Verse: Psalms 119:104-105 “From Your precepts I get discernment, therefore I hate every false way. Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” TLV
