Prayer: Father, what a call in the Spirit, You gave Ezekiel. May I be as responsive to Your call. Amen.
Reading: Ezekiel 2 key: vs. 1-5 “Then He said to me: “Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.” As He spoke to me, the Ruach came upon me and stood me up on my feet. I heard Him speaking to me again. He said to me, “Son of man, I send you to Bnei-Yisrael, to rebellious nations that have been rebelling against Me. They and their fathers have rebelled against Me to this very day. The children have hard faces and stubborn hearts. I am sending you to them, and you are to tell them, ‘Thus says Adonai Elohim.’ Whether they listen, or whether they will refuse to listen—for they are a rebellious house—they will know that a prophet was among them.” TLV
Attention: Can you imagine being commanded to “stand on your feet” by the living God? Ezekiel hears the audible voice of God and the “Ruach (Spirit of God)” comes upon him and stands him up on his feet.
I have experienced encounters with Adonai and His Spirit, but never to this magnitude. We see in scripture people like Abraham, Jacob, Samuel, and Saul (Paul), all experiencing God’s speaking encounters.
Notice, it was Adonai (God) who told Ezekiel, that the rebellious house of Israel would “know that a prophet was among them.” Would you be able to identify a prophet of God if you crossed paths with one? How would you respond if you had a direct encounter with God?
According to Acts 2:17, we will see (and already see) an increase of prophesy. The Holy Spirit, through the apostle Luke, declared this prophecy of prophecy, centuries ago. I encourage you to be on notice beginning today, for the outpouring of the Ruach on “all flesh.” We will hear prophecy declared. Will we be listening unlike hard hearted Israel? Or will we also ignore the prophet because of our heart condition?
Action: I choose today to listen to the true prophet of God.
Yield: I choose to submit to the Ruach of God.
Engage: I choose to engage with the Holy Spirit in the declaration of prophecy.
Relationship: I choose to live in Spirit filled communion with Adonai.
Prayer: Father, I embrace the prophetic outpouring in my day and time. May I engage in declaring Your word to this generation. Amen.
